For our second interview of InkHouse’s Changemaker series, I sat down with long-time friend and 2020 Candidate for Congress (MA’s 4th District) Jesse Mermell. Jesse and I have a history of fighting some social justice battles together and I have learned so much from her about change -- and specifically, about how businesses can be catalysts for change. We talk about her life’s mission -- creating opportunity for people -- the best way to engage in a meaningful way, how companies can “walk the walk” to push real policy change and more. It’s not easy campaigning during a pandemic and virtual economy, but Jesse doesn’t shy away from a challenge. As she puts it, “We are building a plane as we fly.” If there’s anyone who can do it, it’s her.
