Announcing our new SVP of Training

Apr 05, 2022 Alison Morra

At Inkhouse, we have always had a robust training program for our employees focused on teaching groups of people all things PR, social media, and digital.

In today’s market, where retaining and hiring top talent is critical and our workforce is hybrid, we are excited to strengthen our current program by announcing Julie Sellew as our new Senior Vice President of Training.

Julie, a longtime Inkhouser, will teach our employees best practices through one-on-one training sessions to hone specific skills. She will provide real-time scenario training to individual employees, who need one-on-one help. This will help our employees, who are new to the workforce or to the industry, get up-to-speed and help them feel more confident.

We hope that with Julie in this role, we will have both an advantage in today’s fierce talent market and provide enormous benefits to our existing employees. Our client Beamery recently did a survey that showed career growth and professional development will become a competitive advantage for businesses, with the majority of employees (85%) saying it is important that their company provide this. In fact, 45% went on to say that they want their company to prioritize staff training and development in 2022, which ranked highest along with greater benefits and incentives (47%).

Julie’s role will also help us recruit from outside of the PR industry, which will only continue to diversify our team, a major challenge in our industry and one we are committed to
