InkHouse is Growing Quickly – and the BBJ Agrees

Apr 28, 2011 Beth Monaghan

The InkHouse team just returned from the Boston Business Journal’s Pacesetter awards ceremony at the Fairmont Copley. We’ve been named the 7th fastest growing private company in Massachusetts! The BBJ culled this list by narrowing in on companies that grew annual revenues by at least 20 percent over the past three years. InkHouse came in at 250 percent growth since 2007.

We, of course, are honored to be included on a list among such great company. Some important leaders are also on the list, including our client Bullhorn. We’re also happy to see a number of other marketing and PR firms there, including Matter Communications and 451 Marketing. It’s great to be part of a thriving and growing industry.

However, while growing quickly is an important sign of success, we also take the challenge of growth seriously. Maintaining growth makes us more aware of the importance of providing great PR and social media programs to our clients. And we intend to measure our growth with careful attention to the quality of our staff and the services we provide to our clients.

Meg O’Leary and I started InkHouse in 2007 and it’s been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life to grow the company with her. By the way, she is the smartest marketer I know and continues to surprise me with her insights into messaging and PR challenges.

We’ve changed a lot and have learned even more in four years. We trust our guts a lot more and are proud to have grown our client base to include some truly innovative startups, venture capital firms, and Massachusetts leaders such as Raytheon and Nuance Communications.

We’ve grown our staff to 20 in just four years and are proud of the smart, innovative team we’ve assembled. Our success is the culmination of their hard work and creative minds. But we would not be here without the clients who took a chance on a small boutique PR firm in the beginning, and those who continue to bring us their PR and social media challenges. Our clients have inspired us in so many unique ways, and it has been a privilege to work with them over the past four plus years. We are grateful for the opportunity.

Congratulations to all of the 55 companies on the list!
