COVID-19 & Employee Benefits: A Video Q&A With Amanda Schiavo of Employee Benefit News

Workplaces across the U.S. are quickly transforming to meet the needs of this moment in history.

I invited Amanda Schiavo, associate editor of Employee Benefit News (EBN), to a virtual Q&A to find out what human resource topics her team is covering. While COVID-19 has become somewhat of a focal point for the trade as the workplace has drastically shifted, the importance of bringing value to her readers has never been more clear. “We don’t want to write a story just for the sake of writing one, you can create a lot of noise that way.” Remote work, telemedicine and caregiving are suddenly thrust into the spotlight as the benefits industry adjusts to this new virtual economy. This pandemic proves to be a test for employers to see if these in-demand benefits actually work and will lead to a lasting change in the space.

However, a pressing question remains: How do employees plan to move forward after this ends? What’s the guide for successfully navigating the return to work post-COVID-19?

Hear more about what Amanda and her Employee Benefit News team are looking for as they continue to cover the changes to the workplace during COVID-19 below:
