InkHouse Hires Susan Elsbree as Vice President

Sep 30, 2015 admin

I am so excited to welcome Susan Elsbree to our firm as a vice president. She’ll be working mostly on real estate and urban affairs issues, as well as some nonprofit clients. You can read the official press release here.

But the story of how Susan came to InkHouse is a long and winding one. The most important thing everyone should know is that when I was a journalist, and few people in government wanted to call me back, but Susan always did. And she was nice! And smart! And always tried to get some sort of answer on deadline. So I’ve always liked and respected her and, this being a small town, 20 years later, we’re working under the same roof.

Susan has been doing her own PR consulting for the last year but before that she was Mayor Thomas M. Menino’s Director of Communications at the Boston Redevelopment Authority, where she oversaw every development and planning initiative that happened in the City of Boston from 1998-2014. If you ever want to know the story of how the crummy South Boston waterfront became the Innovation District, Susan can tell you exactly. Because she helped make it happen.

When she is not working or taking care of her twin girls, you might find her volunteering on urban education committees, riding her bike to meetings, or to and from farmers markets in JP, where she and her family live.

Please connect with her on LinkedIn, Twitter or by email: Susan@inkhouse.com.
