Summer is the time of year for beach trips, ice cream cones and 90 degree weather – a time we all look forward to. But in an office setting, it’s often a tease being stuck inside with endless to-do lists, meetings and priority projects. However, that doesn’t always have to be the case, and here at InkHouse, we like to have some fun. Here’s how the InkHouse team beats the heat:
- Fun-filled activities for our employees. “Work hard, play hard” is our motto at InkHouse always – but especially during the summer months. Although company events are a year-round occurrence, we make sure to pack our schedules with fun-filled activities during the summer months. From surprise root-beer floats or margaritas, to relaxing chair massage breaks and even office manicures – we make sure to have a little fun during the workday.
- Unlimited vacation backed by team support. With the perk of unlimited vacation, we make sure our teams are supported and no one finds themselves shorthanded. Displayed on our walls and ingrained in our minds is one of our core values, “we are a team first.” Knowing your teammates have your back when you are out of the office makes vacation that much more relaxing.
- Company outings. In addition to office massages and delicious treats, we also plan a company outing every summer to get our team out of the office for additional laughs and team building. Last year, we enjoyed lobsters on the Boston Harbor, and this year, we take to the roof deck at The Colonnade Hotel.
- A little appreciation for hard work. Client work doesn’t halt during the summer months; in fact it gets even crazier due to the regular absence of what PR folks call “hard news.” Because the 24x7 news cycle stops for no one, this forces us to get more creative. But even in the midst of all the craziness, we make sure to show a little love and appreciation for all the busy bees in our office.
Whatever it is – a break from our computers is much needed in the summer months, and InkHouse sure knows it.
